There are many well known DSOs in the constellation of Cygnus that are easy to point a telescope at and get a good picture; however, Ruprecht 173 is a lesser known object, and yet very pleasing to observe. There is not a lot of information about this cluster online, and very few images of it. It is located about 4,000 light-years away.
